How to Cook Popping Corn

Ratio: 2 Tbsp oil, e.g. peanut, canola or coconut oil to 1/3 cup popping corn.

  1. In a large saucepan with a fitting lid, heat oil on medium-high temperature.
  2. Add popping corn
  3. Cover with lid and slide saucepan back and forth over the heat until the popping stops.

Get creative – optional seasonings

Cinnamon honey butter: This makes the popcorn a little sticky, but irresistible. Whisk 2 tsbp melted butter with 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup and 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon.

Spice it up: Sprinkle popcorn with cayenne pepper, chilli flakes or ground chilli!

Sweet tooth: Scatter melted dark chocolate over warm popcorn and sprinkle with sea salt. Stir to combine.

Vegan?: Sprinkle over nutritional yeast and stir to combine.

Classic: Stir in melted butter and sprinkle with sea salt. Yum!
